What time does the event start and end?

Twilight is a weekend-long event starting at 12pm on Friday, April 25th. The event schedule varies by day. For more information, check out the official schedule for specific race times, concerts and festivities!

Is Athens Twilight free to attend?

General admission is free. The Festival Zone Wristbands, VIP sections, and some kids activities require a wristband or ticket. 

Can I purchase Festival Zone Wristbands the day-of?

Yes, you can purchase wristbands at College Square, the 100 Block of College Avenue. Wristbands are for sale online until 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 24. Wristband holders will need to present a valid 21+ ID with every beer or wine purchase within the Festival Zone.

Can I register for any of the running or bike events the day of?

Yes, day-of on-site registration is available for running and biking events at the registration area in College Square, 100 Block of College Avenue. To avoid long lines the day-of the running or bike events, visit the registration tent Friday afternoon. 

Kids events will have registration set up within the Kids Zone, 300 Block Lumpkin Street.

Where is Twilight?

Twilight is located in downtown Athens! Events and activities take place along Clayton and Washington Streets as well as College Avenue, Lumpkin Street, and Jackson Street. Check out the map page for additional details!

What streets will be closed during Twilight?

Clayton Street from Hull Street to Thomas Street. Washington Street from Hull Street to Thomas Street. Lumpkin Street from Hancock Street to E. Board Street. College Avenue from Hancock Street to E. Board Street. Jackson Street from Hancock Street to E. Board Street. Wall Street. Thomas Street from Hancock Street to E. Board Street

 

 

When do road closures begin?

Clayton Street to Washington Street and Washington Street to Hancock Avenue will be closed. Closures begin at 6 a.m. on Friday, April 25, and reopen at 1 a.m. on Sunday, April 27.

Where do I park?

Parking is not recommended due to limited space and traffic, so we highly recommend biking or taking a bus to the event. To view the parking decks available, check out our facilities locator on the map page!

Are there shuttle services?

Yes, free shuttles run from select parking areas to the event. Athens Transit is fare-free with stops at UGA Arch, Pulaski Street, Dougherty Street, Willow Street and Twilight’s transportation hub behind the Classic Center. For route and schedule information, visit accgov.com/transit or download the myStop app for real-time bus information.

Where are the crosswalks located?

College Avenue, Jackson Street and East/West Washington Street.

Where are the restrooms located?

Portajohns are located throughout the Festival Zone and course. Check out the map below for the nearest restroom.

Where can I find emergency personnel?

First Aid, Medical and an EMT Ambulance can be found in the Kids Zone, Main Food Court area and near the Classic Center.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes! Outside food and drinks are allowed, but we highly encourage you to support local vendors at the event’s food court or patronize local businesses along the course route.

What if I have a dietary restriction or allergies?

Please inquire with our food vendors about specific dietary restrictions or allergies.

What area is the Festival Zone?

Friday Festival Zone encompasses College Square (100 Block), the 200 Block of College Avenue and the 200 Block of East Washington Street.

Saturday Festival Zone is within the course (Lumpkin to Thomas Street, including Clayton Street) and College Square. Open container consumption with a Festival Zone Wristband is permitted in these designated areas.
